Not much news

Well, I don't have a lot to say, but thought it was about time to post again ;-)

We've been busy with school, work, and church activities. I can't even remember what we did this week! :) This week and next my work schedule was changed so that I had Wednesdays off. That was really nice for yesterday since we had nursery duty at church. It can be tiring to be with kids for 9 hours all day then have a dozen or more two year olds for another couple hours!! We do really enjoy the ministry though and love being with all those precious little children! What a difference between the children of the unsaved family I work for and the kids that come to church!

Since I did have yesterday off we had Andrew & Meagan over for dinner. Daniel had a recital so he wasn't able to come. Hopefully we can have all three of them next week.

I'm including pictures of the puzzle David & I have been working on in the evenings the past couple weeks. We finished it on Tuesday night and David proudly displayed it for a picture :)

David is studying here in the library at school. I like to come along and read or blog (as I'm doing now :). Just took these couple pictures to put up along with this note.

Hope you are all doing well. I need to close before my computer dies (I forgot the power supply:( ) No time for editing photos-- you get them as I took them :-)

  1. Yay for news anywhere---and pictures! Enjoyed my afternoon with you Thursday and will miss it this week (although, I'm sure you will get a lot more done!). Hope you get to feeling better soon.

  2. Thanks for the news. Always good to hear from anyone who would like to share their life with us (since we are not able to be around to see, hear and take part in the lives of our families). So, you're sick? Did you get it from us or did we give it to you? I stayed home from church this morning with all 5 kids again. We thought we were on the mend with the exception of the congestion...then yesterday, 2 more ended up having fevers and 1 more got the congestion. The 2 older girls can't talk. It's been a lot quieter around here the past couple of days... (We like to tease them about that!)

  3. NIce to see the pics!! Thanks! That's quite a puzzle. HOw long have you been working on it? A cat 2 cyclone hit Bowen last night and a cat 4 one is heading towards the Queensland coast by Thursday. No projections yet where it will hit but it is 1 000 km wide! SO we may get some of it.
Sorry to hear you're sick. Sarah and I both got the flu on Friday evening. WIth an all-day church work day on Saturday, we didn't have much time to rest and are both not so well today. Trust we'll all be better soon. Today is the first official day back to school (although Sarah has been working ahead for our trip to the USA).
Dad killed a snake in our front garden on Friday. I saw it go in, and it looked too much like a taipan to ignore it. So we hunted it down. It was a blue-bellied black snake-not quite as dangerous as a taipan, and now our beautiful front garden looks pretty bad! :) Oh well, it will grow back.
Have a blessed week. We're praying for you.

    Love,
    Mum
